One of our all-time dreams as animal people is to have that Disney princess moment. We want, desperately, to meet up with a wild animal and become their best friends. We've had enough of reading these stories - a diver befriending a giant fish and being friends with it for 30 years, a giant shoebill falling in love with its zookeeper, totally having a crush on him, or a man playing a banjo for a wild fox and the fox coming back again and again for an encore. When will it be our turn?!
Clearly, not today. Today, we get to be jealous once again and aww from afar as someone else gets to live out that Disney princess fantasy. Today, we get to see a momma bear bring her cubs to visit her lifelong human friend - once again, because yes, this has happened before. And we get to dream on.
